Assessments

Assessment is the first step in identifying a range of difficulties and concerns. Involving a combination of standardised and non-standardised testing methods, we explore a range of your child’s strengths and difficulties to explore the reasons for these difficulties. We then provide a detailed report based on our findings and recommendations on how best to proceed.

We also offer Special provisions assessments for examinations for high school students.

Treatments & Services

During intervention, therapists work with your child on a weekly basis for half hour or 45 minute sessions, either at the clinic or at your child’s school/preschool. Therapists maintain regular communication between parents, teacher and other relevant health professionals so that we are all working in the same direction together with your child. Activities are developed to provide a ‘just-right’ challenge for your child to ensure that they achieve success whilst being challenged to develop their skills in their underlying areas of difficulties.

Screenings

  • We offer Preschool and school screenings, which are conducted at the Preschools, Day Care Centres and Schools.
  • Screenings are based on observations of age appropriate Fine and Gross Motor Skills including Muscle Tone, attention and visual motor skills.
  • Results and recommendations are provided to parent and teacher.
